This is my favorite local place. I recently moved about 15 miles away from it, which might be a good thing, because I go there SO much.
Most of the food SuTao serve has an Asian flair, with an emphasis on Chinese cuisine.
This place is amazing. It is entirely vegan, and you cannot tell at all. Choices include sushi, General Tao’s “chicken”, curry dishes, sweet and sour “chicken” egg rolls, dumplings, “meatballs”, and MORE.
One of my best friends and I love to go there and just chow down. Plus, it’s got a HUGE salad bar, with everything under the sun on it.
However, the fact that it is vegan can intimidate some people. I say, just go with it. I like to take my “non-veggie” friends here, and for the most part, they seem to really like it (And those who don’t, I think it’s mostly mental).
Another plus, it’s a BYOB! So grab your favorite wine, and head out to this amazing place!

I was hanging out with an old friend who lives in the Fairmount area, and knowing my vegetarian eating habits, he decided to take me to Mugshots for a morning brunch.
I had a vegan reuben that was just fantastic. It had tempeh on it, with a goddess dressing (that I must learn to re-create) and some killer sauerkraut.
But the best part of Mugshots? The coffeehouse has soy milk as a regular part of the sugar and milk bar. You don’t have to pay extra for it! Brownie points galore!
We went around 11, and it was a tad on the crowded side, but you didn’t have to wait long for your food. It’s a tight squeeze in there, but it’s cozy and has a great feel to it. Orders can be for there or for take-away, so it’s possible to grab a great vegan or veggie meal and go sit out in the sun!
The price isn’t horribly bad either, and although sometimes you do pay a bit more for veggie foods in general, everything I thought was pretty reasonably priced!
