Going Vegan-2 Weeks!

Alright guys, minus one slip up (a soft pretzel…I DIDN’T KNOW!), I have been vegan for a little over two weeks. I have been doing pretty good. I was able to go to my favorite restaurant without incident as it IS vegan, but I haven’t really tried eating out. I went to Seasons 52, and the vegan menu consisted of $12 salads. Zero points for creativity.

Everyone has been really supportive. I have found a bunch of new, fun foods to eat too! I find myself looking for this symbol a lot:

Certified Vegan! It helps, although I am also becoming a pro at reading labels. Some things might be made in a place that might process milk products or egg products. But the food I’m eating doesn’t have it in it. Does this make it NOT vegan? I’m not sure! I would love some feedback!

Recently, I have really been into SO Delicious yogurt in the morning, and many more fruits to snack on than usual.

I found the really hard thing for me was when I smelled some pizza the other day. Sometimes, you just want PIZZA. BUT, I finally found pizza yesterday at Kimberton Whole Foods! Tofutti pizza to the rescue! And it was so good. I did add some garlic salt and some Italian herbs to really make it, but it was really good.

Day 4

So far, so good! This isn’t THAT much difference. I went to Trader Joe’s today with a vegan list that they provide (I’ll put the link at the bottom). That helped a lot.

I am also venturing to Wegman’s in search of an egg substitute. Any suggestions?

Thank god for LightLife and Tofurky though. And my new favorite, Tofutti!!!

So far, so awesome!
